The Old Order Restored
Here. Was away on vacation and then going through some periods in which I did not feel like blogging for personal reasons. Hence missed out on all the excitement what with the Bangles beating the Aussies and the first signs of a change in the order of World Cricket and some amazing pieces of batsmanship by the Grand Master Brian Lara and the fiery Bengal tiger cub - Mohammad Ashraful - yeah so sorry - couldn't quite appreciate all that - but now that some sort of order has been restored in the World cricket hierarchy hope the same happens in my blogging.

Could be the root cause of a lot of problems related to Americans according to a theory.
That could be the reason for their flawed foreign policy which gives birth to and nurtures demons that rebound onto them, for the general hatred the rest of the World has towards their arrogance and self-centeredness and the reason why despite boasting of being a great democracy any democratic opinion that does not coincide with that of the President is considered "unpatriotic" and also the reason why people like Mike Marqusse have left its shores to settle in greener pastures overseas.
Although he goes on to oppose that theory he finds it interesting and so do I. Here he points out another parallel in history:

"The argument echoed historian G.M. Trevelyan’s quip about the French Revolution: “if the French noblesse had been capable of playing cricket with their peasants, their chateaux would never have been burnt.”"
