Gavaskar On Vettori's Selection

Sunil Gavaskar is vehemently supporting Daniel Vettori and defending his decision to include him in both the Test and ODI squads of the World X1. Well we all know what are the kinds of actions that require such vehement defence don't we ? After all, there is no need of defending the inclusion of Jacques Kallis or Brian Lara in the both the squads. The fact that Sunny finds it necessary to defend Vettori in intself tells a story. For me, I think Vettori was included just to please New Zealand and make sure that they don't feel left out. Because definitely Anil Kumble and then Harbhajan Singh (and perhaps Danish Kaneria) deserved the nod ahead of him.
