I don't believe in stats...I believe in what I see...and as per that he never looked like a one day player to me...and in tests he should be included in emergency situations only...and that too against better teams...anyway there is no slot for him in the team right now unless he learns to keep wickets or something.

Then I believe you did not see his three hundreds in the VB series last year and the hundred in the decisive match against Pakistan last series ???

What kind of justice is this in which a joke like Ganguly is indispensable in the side while a quality player like Laxman has to sit out ??

no doubt he showed some grt form in patches...but somehow he never looked to have the same class as a one day batsman as in tests..probably thats the reason he's not there and ganguly is.

well, laxamn surely deserves to be in the side. But at whose expense? I will still go in with Ganguly, far better captain he is than anyone else.
SRT, Viru, Dravid choose themselves. We need a regular keeper (U wud agree) and 4 bowlers. So finally, its a choice between yuvi, kaif n vvs. Yuvi is better than both because he can bowl decently, and is a good fielder.
Between kaif and vvs, well, both have played memorable knocks. And keeping kaif in the side can be a good futuristic move; plus he is a far better fielder than vvs.
If any one of our batsmen gets injured, VVS shud be the next choice, and not dinesh mongia.
