McGrath being rested due to 'tightness in his legs' whatever that is has given the World X1 a huge chance to draw level in the series. We all know what a great team Australia is - but even so there are certain players who are more exceptional than others and can make a telling difference. Gilchrist is one such. McGrath is another. Excellent opportunity to see what Stuart Clark is made of too. My curiosity all the greater on account of him being of Indian origin.
Meanwhile Katich says he is comfortable opening the innings. Could he go on to be a long-term opener ? He definitely could. I have great faith in his intelligence as a cricketer and his tendency to play well within his limitations.
