Pathan Worries

Irfan Pathan is the toast of India at the moment with a fine all-round performance in the Sri Lanka series. However what worries me is that while defending moderate totals against fair teams he tends to be tonked around for a few early on. It happened in the final against NZ last month and now against South Africa today. Also if he gets a poor decision given against him (while bowling that is) or when a catch is dropped off him early he tends to lose it somewhat. This happened again yesterday (poor decision) and had happened in the IndianOil Cup Final against Sri Lanka (dropped catch). In such situations he tends to go from bad to worse every over in his first spell. Hence it is a point for Dravid to consider - to perhaps use him differently, change him quickly and bring him on later etc.

Could be I'm judging too soon, but I don't think so
