World's Greatest All-Rounder

Jacques Kallis ? NO.
Chris Cairns ? NO.
Andrew Flintoff ? NOT AT ALL.

You are living in the past, mate, if you are thinking on the above lines. Move over Andrew Flintoff. You are no longer the greatest all-rounder in the World. For, on the horizons, about to set the stage of World Cricket alight is an all-rounder of unprecedented ability. So much so, that the selectors who have given India this once-in-a-lifetime gifted player, themselves are not sure if he is a batting all-rounder or a bowling all-rounder. In fact so difficult is this classification that he could have easily made it as the best batsmen except that he has some slight problems facing balls targeted at his body and those outside off-stump. Also he could have easily made it as the team's top bowler except that he has just 25 wickets from over 80 games. But as an all-rounder he is definitely an unparalleled phenomenon.

Andrew Flintoff, shut up, dont giggle. What ? Why are you rolling on the floor laughing holding your sides for ??

even if not in direct touch with cricket, i would say this allrounder you are talking about would be india's one of the best in that category as of now.

can you think of anyone better? viru, maybe. don't give me names like raina, or pathan (pathan has just one recent series to show) or agarkar (or i can even expect dravid's name from you :-p)

seriously, i expected some more serious post from you. like, the obvious lack of an allrounder in team india (which lets selectors promote this dude as one)
had there been a genuine allrounder with us, then it wudve been a problem for selectors to find an excuse

btw, just one other comment. i would go for inclusion of this "allrounder" in the team anyway, just as a pure batsman. Any takes on that?

please YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS.
if we dont have an all-rounder we should be man enough to accept it. we should not try to redefine an all-rounder as the one whose difference between bowling and batting is the least or whatever.
FACT: we have no all-rounder. haven't had one since kapil dev (maybe shastri and prabhakar came the closest)

also i have a lot more to say on this all-rounder issue, will make a new post on it. just not finding the time right now !!
